The Zillertal is internationally one of the largest flying areas and counts because of its excellent cross country flying and its many flying mountains to one of the most wanted flying areas of the World. Also for beginners. The starting place Finkenberg is called 'Penken' (2095 m). It can be reached by two ski lifts. At the beginning of the ski lift there's a camera view on a television which gives information about wind direction, wind velocity and temperature at the starting place.
Above there are several starting places which are all very nice and easy, a 1 minute walk from the top of the ski lifts:- - from SE to SW, (during the winter there are limited possibilities);
- W.
The landing place is rather small, along the ski lift. Not so suitable for beginners!
